Effective as of 1 November 2023
Bulk billed consults are available for all patients who hold a Pension or Health Care Card and are registered with MyMedicare at our practice.
MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model. It aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams.
Evidence shows that seeing the same GP and healthcare team regularly leads to better health outcomes. Seeing your GP regularly and formalising the relationship you have with your GP and general practice through MyMedicare may lead to better health outcomes.
Registering with MyMedicare provides benefits to patients, general practices, and healthcare providers. To learn about these benefits, see: https://www.health.gov.au/our-work/mymedicare/about
To Register with MyMedicare:
There are multiple ways you can register with your chosen practice in MyMedicare:
- Start the registration process in your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app.
- Fill out a registration form in practice. By signing the form, you are giving consent to participate in MyMedicare. Practice staff will then complete the registration in the MyMedicare system.
MyMedicare does not tie you to a particular healthcare provider. You can change your preferred GP within your registered practice at any time. You can also register with a different practice if you meet the eligibility requirements and the practice is also registered.
You can choose to withdraw from MyMedicare at any time.
