Background:
Dr Carlo Francescon was born in Kenya, Africa to a British mother and Italian father and he lived in Kenya until he was 7 years of age before moving to the UK where he completed his Schooling and University training.
He gained experience in many different medical specialties in the UK before moving to Australia in 2019.
Since moving to Australia, he has worked exclusively in Emergency Medicine, mainly in Queensland but also in New South Wales and Western Australia. He has recently moved to Port Macquarie to start his training in General Practice.

Dr Mehak Aneja is a highly skilled medical professional who completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2015. She has since gained extensive experience across General Practice and Emergency medicine, including working at Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Kempsey Hospital in the Emergency Departments. Dr Aneja is passionate about providing high-quality medical care to her patients and is currently also pursuing certification in Emergency medicine.

Dr Aneja has a particular interest in general medicine, preventive health, and chronic diseases. His experience includes two years as an emergency retrieval doctor on Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) aircraft. This was followed by general practice on the Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara lands in South Australia, Barkly cattle stations, Uluru and several remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.
Dr Yonge is a GP supervisor and practice principal at Port GPs with special interests in Aboriginal health, diabetes and clinical governance. He is an examiner and fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), a fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr Yonge enjoys developing new evidence based clinical protocols and promoting rural and remote general practice. He believes in a central and greater role for general practitioners and a clinician-led health industry. Time not spent on these activities is with his partner and children, on his boat, and attempting to keep fit!

Farmer’s daughter from Mid North South Australia. High school as a boarder in Adelaide, then lived in Adelaide until age 29. Lived in the UK for 2 years then 26 years in Northern Victoria (small country town called Kerang, near the Murray).
Then spent 2 years working as a volunteer with Mercy Ships in Madagascar and then Benin in West Africa before another 2 years working as a volunteer in Timor-L’este.
Spent 6 months in Tasmania when we returned from Timor, before coming to Port Macquarie in February 2021.

She is on the Rural Generalist Program and works across General Practice, Emergency and Obstetrics. She enjoys many aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in women’s health.
Special interest areas:
Marian has an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as a Certificate from Family Planning Australia. She is experienced in all forms of contraceptive options including Implanon, Mirena/Kyleena IUD insertions and removals, and tailors the options to individual patients. Marian also has interest in complex antenatal care, postnatal depression and menopause management. Marian continues to work in hospitals across the Coffs Harbour and Hunter New England areas in Maternity and Rural Emergency Departments.
Marian is a passionate advocate for rural medicine, and she sits on the Board for the Rural Doctors Association of Australia. In her spare time, she is either chasing after her children, drawing or spending far too long on social media.

Ben graduated from The Australian National University in 2012. Since this time he has worked in a variety of roles in the public hospital system with a focus mainly on oncology, internal medicine and paediatrics. He has resided in the Port Macquarie area for the last 6 years.
As a father of a young family and a big kid at heart, his current passion is in the health of babies, children and families.
